YouYeon Byun, Violinist





YouYeon Byun

Is Korean violinist, was born in Seoul. She began playing the violin since five years old.

As an active performer, YouYeon gave her both recital and orchestra debuts in KBS Hall when she was eight years old. She has performed with Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, TIMF Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra and joined as a guest member of Boston Philharmonic, St. Luke’s chamber orchestra in NY.

Also, she won a concertmaster position at the Manhattan School of Music 2017-2018 season.

Ms. Byun is also an avid chamber musician. She attended Shmuel Ashkenasi and Ralph Kirshbaum chamber seminar in Heifetz music institute in 2015.

She had chamber music touring concerts in Virginia as a musician of Heifetz music festival.

She hadchamber music concerts in Boston Jordan Hall, Seoul Arts Center, TongYoung Arts Center, Greenfield Hall, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Morgan Library in New York and Merkin Hall in Kauffman Center in NYC.

She had studied in Yewon Arts School before moving to the United States to study with Paul Biss and SooVin Kim in New England Conservatory in Bachelor of Music

and

Master of Music degree in Manhattan School of Music with Lucie Robert. She is pursuing her DMA study currently in Yonsei University with Hyun Ah Kim. YouYeon Byun is an Artist of NewYork Art Production and violinist of BM Trio.
