Soprano Hanna Lee,

Who "stole the scene whenever she is onstage and proved to be a gifted

singer - (Austin Chronicle), has performed throughout the United States as well as in Korea,

Japan, Mexico, and Europe. Dr. Lee has performed various leading roles including Susanna (Le

nozze di Figaro), Adina (L'elisir D'amor), Elle (La voix humaine), Sophie (Werther), Adele (Die

Fledermaus), Constance (Dialogues des Carmélites), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), Despina (Così

fan tutte), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica), and Rosina (Il Barbiere

di Siviglia).

On the concert stage, she appeared as a Soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Steve Reich's

Drumming, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Poulenc's Gloria, Bach's Mass in B Minor, Bach's St. Matthew

Passion, and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater.

Ms. Hanna won a silver medal in the Young Texas Artists Music Competition and has

received numerous prizes, including the New Jersey Sinfonietta International Vocal Competition,

the Houston Saengerbund: A German Vocal Competition and the Mid-Texas Symphony Young

Artist Competition. She also was a finalist in the Marilyn Horne Song Competition.

She has earned her Master’s degree and Doctoral degree at the University of Texas at Austin

as the recipient of the Willa Stewart Setseck Scholarship. She also has received her bachelor’s

degree from Korea National University of the Arts, from which she graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Lee enjoys teaching a variety of voice students at the Dankook University as

an adjunct professor.
