Han Na Shin


Born in South Korea, as a director of Raon Chamber Music Society, Hanna Shin is an active soloist and a chamber musician in New York and New Jersey area. As a concert soloist, she has performed with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at Seoul Art Center in South Korea and made her New York debut at Carnegie Hall as a special presentation winner of Artists International in 2007. Additionally, she was invited to Benefit Concert for Incurable Disease Patient in Korea. As a chamber musician, not only did she participate in Korean Chamber Music Festival, but was specially selected to perform with the Seoul Chamber Ensemble at Seoul Art Center. She has also performed with her trio on the Trinity Concerts at One series at Trinity Church, Wall Street. Dr. Shin has travelled all over the world participating in concerts including United States, China and Italy.


Dr. Shin received her Doctorate of Musical Arts at Rutgers University as a full scholarship student under the guidance of Arnold Steinhardt and Shmuel Ashkenasi.


She earned her Master’s degree and Professional Studies diploma from Mannes College, The New School for Music where she studied with Dr. Chin Kim. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Sookmyung Women’s University in Korea as a recipient of scholarship for Academic Excellence. She has studied chamber music with Hyroko Yajima and Harris Goldsmith at Mannes College and Daniel Epstein and Min Kwon at Rutgers University. Additionally, she has performed in master-classes for Emerson and Orion String Quartets.


Also she taught Fundamentals of musicianship class at Rutgers University.
